The Resurrection Body

Early this morning I awakened suddenly from a very vivid dream that I immediately knew was of spiritual significance.

I was with my husband in a house busy doing something unimportant (I don’t remember what) when all at once I remembered that we had a baby that we hadn’t seen or heard for a very long time.

I was afraid to go look in the crib because I knew I was going to find our dead baby. Of course I had to do it; but when we looked, there was no baby there. Now I knew I had to report it to the police, who would ask all sorts of questions. How could I tell them that I had just forgotten the baby?

“Rapture” or “Second Coming” (Part 1)

There are countless (and I do mean “countless”) books, pamphlets, papers, sermons and lectures available on the subject of “end times.” They are all about chronological countdowns, tribulations, resurrections and judgments. Some make a distinction between the “rapture” and the “second coming”; some do not. Many congregations and denominations have been formed, fractured or destroyed because of disagreements concerning these matters. What Do I See?

My consciousness is what I am aware of, what I see. And that is precisely what I experience. I can have either a human consciousness or a God consciousness—coming either from the carnal mind (which is no mind at all, but rather false beliefs in good and evil and in separation from God) or the Christ mind (which everyone has but may not be aware of). In the Christ mind is the expectation of only that which is harmonious and wonderful. Paul calls it the fruit of the Spirit:

Who Am I?

I am the son of the living God (Romans 8:16; 1John 3:2). I am God’s offspring (Acts 17:28-29), born of His Word (1Peter 1:23). I am the original creation, in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). I am (in my true identity) not a person (personality); I am Spirit (Ephesians 4:4-6), one with my Father (John 10:30; John 17:21). I have the mind of Christ (1Corinthians 2:16). I have been given dominion over all creation (Genesis 1:26).

The Dream (Part 1)

I awakened this morning at 6:00 from a very vivid dream wherein I was most apprehensive about a play that I was about to perform in but for which I was not prepared. I didn’t know my lines at all. It was certainly going to be disastrous. Of course I was immensely relieved when I awakened and recognized that it was only a dream and had no reality. I knew inside that what I had just experienced had spiritual significance. So I got out of bed and lay down under an infrared dome to listen. I’ve had many revelations while lying under that dome, including the one contained in the contemplation Ten Righteous Men.

Flesh

Our first response to the word “flesh” is usually negative. We remember Paul’s list of the works of the flesh (which we want no part of) and his conclusion that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19 (KJV):21). He tells us that flesh and blood (which he refers to as corruption) cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1Corinthians 15:50) and goes on to say that if we walk after the flesh rather than after the Spirit (Romans 8:1,4-5) we shall die, but if, through the Spirit, we mortify the deeds of the body we shall live (Romans 8:13). He readily acknowledges that in my flesh dwelleth no good thing (Romans 7:18).

What Is “God’s Call”?

What Is God’s call or the calling of God and how are we to respond?

Paul tells us that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, (Romans 11:29) that not many who are somebodies in this world are called (1Corinthians 1:26) —or at least don’t recognize that they are called. Paul goes on to say that we are to abide in the same calling wherein we were called (1Corinthians 7:20), that this calling is a holy calling and was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began and not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace (2Timothy 1:9). And Peter admonishes us to give diligence to make our calling sure (2Peter 1:10).
