When I awakened this morning, I was hearing the voice of God inside continuing to speak to me about choosing LIFE. I realized that there was more that I wanted to say on the subject. My first impulse was to toss what I had written yesterday and start over. I knew that would require lots of work on my part. Then I remembered that I am choosing LIFE as I let God perform that which He has given me to do (Job 23:14), for
Choose LIFE (Part 1)
I am once again reminded of the simplicity that is in Christ
(2Corinthians 11:3) as I ponder this Scripture:
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Casting Out Demons
All demons
are personal manifestations of fear. Any fear that I have embodies itself and presents itself to me for recognition and acceptance. If I don’t reject the manifestation, cast
it from me into the sea of oblivion, it will take up residence in me as my personal demon.
Flesh
Our first response to the word “flesh”
is usually negative. We remember Paul’s list of the works of the flesh
(which we want no part of) and his conclusion that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God
(Galatians 5:19 (KJV):21). He tells us that flesh and blood
(which he refers to as corruption
) cannot inherit the kingdom of God
(1Corinthians 15:50) and goes on to say that if we walk after the flesh
rather than after the Spirit
(Romans 8:1,4-5) we shall die,
but if, through the Spirit, we mortify the deeds of the body
we shall live
(Romans 8:13). He readily acknowledges that in my flesh dwelleth no good thing
(Romans 7:18).
