This morning I was awakened by a dream in which I had made a u-turn in the middle of a two-lane road as I was driving. The driver immediately in front of me had made the same turn with no repercussions. There was a bus, not a police car, behind me. As soon as I made the turn, I stopped, as did the bus. The driver of the bus “arrested” me as if he were an officer of the law. I “explained” that I was from another state and that I saw the car in front of me do it. But inside I knew I was guilty, knew it even before I made the turn. It was at this time I woke up.
What Is the Word of God?
The writer of the book of Hebrews says concerning the Word of God:
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick [living and active], and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
What is the Word of God that is so powerful? Is it the Bible?
Living Intuitively
As my husband and I were taking our early morning walk today (Sunday), I began thinking about what I was going to cook today. Since I had oral surgery last Tuesday, I have been eating soft foods that don’t irritate my sore mouth. I therefore began thinking of all the soft foods that I might cook.
A Paradigm Shift
If we make the commitment to always choose LIFE
(Deuteronomy 30:19), we will of necessity have to undergo a major paradigm shift. For it is impossible to continually choose LIFE
while remaining in the orthodox way of looking at things (see Choose Life (Part 1) and Choose Life (Part 2)).

Halting Between Two Opinions
For some time now, the still small voice inside has been speaking to me about this Scripture:
1Kings 18:21 And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word.
Choose LIFE (Part 2)
When I awakened this morning, I was hearing the voice of God inside continuing to speak to me about choosing LIFE. I realized that there was more that I wanted to say on the subject. My first impulse was to toss what I had written yesterday and start over. I knew that would require lots of work on my part. Then I remembered that I am choosing LIFE as I let God perform that which He has given me to do (Job 23:14), for
Choose LIFE (Part 1)
I am once again reminded of the simplicity that is in Christ
(2Corinthians 11:3) as I ponder this Scripture:
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose LIFE, that both thou and thy seed may live:
The Greatest Deception
If I do not know that I and my Father are one,
(John 10:30) as Jesus knew it and prayed in John 17 that we would also know it, I will have a separate sense of self. In other words, I think that I am a separate self which I must preserve and protect —OR I must somehow persuade God (who is separate from me) to preserve and protect me. When I pray, I’m not asking for the Holy Spirit which is promised to those who ask (Luke 11:13) to guide me into all Truth (which is God). I am rather asking for that which I can consume upon my lust
to preserve the life I think I have responsibility for (James 4:3).
