Godly Fear

Yesterday morning I awakened with feelings of anxiety again. As I looked at my life, I could find no reason for these feelings. I have had so many revelations that have resulted in good relationships, good health, abundant supply and anything else necessary for my physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being, especially revelations about being freed from the law.

What Qualifies Us for “Heaven”?

Paul tells us it is our Father, and Him alone, that makes it possible for us to enjoy the “life abundant” that Jesus said He came to give us.

Colossians 1:12   Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath [past tense, not when we say or do something] made us meet [2427. ἱκανόω hikanoo, hik-an-o´-o; from 2425; to enable, i.e. qualify: — make able (meet]. to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:

“Think Not”–“Think On”: The Parable of the Sower

Today I heard the inner voice telling me to stop analyzing ANYTHING, that this constant over-thinking is robbing me of the peace Jesus has freely given. Jesus taught us to take no thought about the things we think most about. As I am constantly listening to the still small voice of Spirit, I am to do and say what I FEEL to do and say as a result of what I’m hearing, not what I THINK I should do and say.

Ten Righteous Men

Part 1

In Genesis 18-19 we read the account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah (the home of Abraham’s nephew Lot and his family) and of Abraham’s plea with God that the cities be spared from what we have believed to be God’s wrath against their many sins, including homosexuality. We even hear preachers today denouncing cities like New Orleans and Las Vegas, saying that hurricane Katrina was God’s wrath against the people of New Orleans. I’ve heard more than one minister make statements like this one: If God doesn’t punish America [or a specific city in America], He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

Judging Arthritis

Romans 8:1

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Matthew 7:1
Judge not, that ye be not judged.
Luke 6:37
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
John 7:24
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

Underdone Burgers

Today I made homemade buns and barbecue sauce for the twenty-five steak burgers my husband was going to grill. It was to be a wonderful meal for today and lots of leftovers for the freezer. The last time he grilled them, they were really scrumptious and a big hit. But I thought they were just a tad overdone, so I suggested he not cook these quite as long. I wanted them to be perfect!

Baptism by Fire

In the discussion between Jesus and His disciples recorded in Mark 10:32-45, Jesus, first of all, tells them of His upcoming crucifixion and resurrection which, of course, they do not comprehend. He is telling them that, as the last Adam, He is about to destroy the devil —the humanity, the ego, which characterizes man living in this world. This is what must take place before the man Jesus can be resurrected as the Christ, the Life-giving Spirit that enlightens every man that comes into the world (John 1:9).
