Jesus had been with His disciples for three years. In His last talk with them before His arrest and crucifixion, He was telling them that He was about to leave them and return to His Father from whence He came:
It Is Finished
Jesus has issued to us the most appealing of all invitations:
Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
The Veil
[June 18, 2015] After sleeping soundly for 6 hours, I was awakened by a vivid dream wherein my sister and I were engaged in a heated argument with my brother attempting to “referee” by timing us so each of us could have our “say.” Upon awakening, I immediately realized that the dream was from the Spirit, letting me know just how petty and unreal everything we were thinking and saying was. I knew that it was “flesh” viewing flesh and reacting to flesh with flesh. It was life “in this world” veiled from the reality of life in the kingdom of God by our belief in two powers. Because I was saying things that I thought I had actually observed and felt, I knew the dream was not one of those nonsensical ones we so often have. I knew that I was to pay attention and listen to the “interpretation” from the Spirit.
The Truth that Sets Us Free
I am in the kingdom of Heaven right now. It is at hand
and is within. It’s not something I attain to by studying, thinking or working. It is righteousness, peace and joy, each of which is a free gift, not to be earned. It is my Father’s good pleasure
to give it to me Luke 12:32.
The Trinity that Is You
This is in no way meant to be a doctrinal treatise on the meaning of the trinity (which, by the way, is never mentioned in the Bible, just in theological literature about the Bible), but rather a way of looking at ourselves in relation to God. When not capitalized, the word trinity
means a group of three.
Listening to the Holy Spirit
When Jesus was teaching, He would often say, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear
(Matthew 11:15).
In the letters to the seven churches recorded in the book of Revelation, the ascended Christ would end each letter with, He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches
(Chapters 2-3).
Who or What Is Christ?
On at least two occasions, Peter identified Jesus as Christ, the Son of the living God
(Matthew 16:13; John 6:69). And Jesus Himself prayed that we would know the only true God and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent
(v 3).
The Kingdom of Heaven
We cannot even see
it until we are born again
–or passed from death unto life. (John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.)
